Spanish-English Storytime

This all ages storytime uses both English and Spanish to present books, rhymes and songs. Some material is presented in English while other material is presented in Spanish, allowing for a natural transition between stories and activities and exposing children to both languages in an inviting environment. Recommended for ages 0 to 5. Program length can vary.

Citizenship Class in Spanish

Spanish citizenship classes will take place on the following six Wednesdays, 5 to 7PM: January 29; February 5, 12, 19, 26; and March 5. The classes are part of the New York Historical Society's Citizenship Project and covers the 100 questions from the USCIS test.

Las clases de ciudadanía en español se llevarán a cabo los siguientes seis miércoles de 5:00 a 7:00 PM: 29 de enero; 5, 12, 19 y 26 de febrero; y 5 de marzo. Imagination Station - Veterinary Clinic

Designed for young learners, Imagination Station encourages learning through play. Explore the arts, practice your motor skills, and start your STEM exploration. Recommended for ages 2-5. 

Playing is learning! Play is a great way to help develop and reinforce early literacy skills. This come-and-go program is designed to give caregivers and their children time to explore together. Toys, board books, and a weekly craft will be provided. 

Diseñado para estudiantes jóvenes, Imagination Station fomenta el aprendizaje a través del juego. Explora las artes, practica tus habilidades motoras y comienza tu exploración STEM. Recomendado para edades de 2 a 5 años.

Acting for the Beginner

Acting looks so easy when watching a movie or TV or even going to the theatre. But what actually does an actor do and how do they do it? This learning experience will allow those participants to get on their feet and experience acting through simple improvisation exercises and/or with short scenes. The event will include an actor warm-up and games. If anyone is uncomfortable and simply wants to watch, they are more than welcome to join. This is for ages 16 and up.
