Join us for a lively, hands-on pop culture pop-up class led by Honors Composition I students from Austin Community College. Together, we’ll explore how music, movies, memes, social media, and other pop cultural practices, shape the stories we tell about ourselves and our communities. This fun, interactive session invites participants of all ages to decode familiar cultural artifacts, challenge common assumptions, and consider how pop culture influences us. Through fun games, small-group activities, and collaborative discussion, attendees will discover new ways of seeing the media they love—and the media that shapes us all. No background knowledge required!
