Have you ever struggled to follow complicated instructions when trying to fix a gadget or appliance? Join students from our ACC Technical Communications course (ENGL 2311: Technical and Business Writing) as they showcase their collaborative projects with iFixit, a global platform dedicated to making repair accessible. Students will demonstrate how they take complex technical processes and transform them into clear, user-friendly, and accessible plain language instructions. See examples of their work and get a plain-language demonstration of a common repair task! Discover the power of technical writing in everyday life and learn a few tips for writing better instructions yourself.
