The Power of Parents is a research and evidence based underage substance abuse prevention program designed to equip parents and caring adults with the tools and resources to have effective conversations with the youth in their lives about the dangers of underage substance use. MADD is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage substance use.

A typical global learning program in the context of Continuing Education at Austin Community College is a two-week project based, culturally immersive and academically relevant learning experience built around a project with purpose and catered to student and business groups. In this session Danish students from Roskilde Handelsskolke in Roskilde, Denmark, in (4) teams of 2 students each, will present via Zoom and in person, campaign projects on the topic of Social Media for Social Good. Participants of this session will gain insight to a Global Learning collaboration with residents and staff of Mobile Loaves and Fishes at the Community First! Village on a project to identify a business idea or social service then develop a campaign using business theory and social media.
